Does AC Operate on the Same Principles as a Refrigerator?
In short, the answer is yes. Air conditioning units used to cool your home operate on the same principles that a fridge or a cooler run on. All of these cooling units move heat through a refrigeration circuit and move the warm air elsewhere. There’s a little condenser coil underneath the refrigerator, and we dump the heat into the kitchen, which you really don’t notice. And your home AC unit pushes the warm air outside.
In a cooler or fridge, the equipment is maintaining a 35-40 degree box. A freezer is maintaining a -40-o degree box. And your air conditioning system has a 30-50 degree evaporator but maintains a 70-80 degree space.
Is there really warm air in a freezer?
Yes! There will always be warm air molecules in any space unless the temperature is at absolute zero, or -460 Fahrenheit.
