HVAC Industry Changes- New AC Refrigerants
There are always changes to the tools, equipment, and technology used in the HAVC industry. Whether they are geared towards efficiently, convince, or limited environmental impact, Forquer is always up to date on all of the changes in our industry so we can provide the best air conditioning services and equipment to our customers.
New Air Conditioning Refrigerants
One thing that is continuously changing in the HVAC world is ac refrigerants. Many years ago, our air conditioners ran on either R-12, R-22, or R-502, and those were eventually deemed unsafe for the ozone because they had chlorine in them. Now those three refrigerants are pretty much obsolete and replaced with R-410 about five to ten years ago.
These refrigerants are always changing and most likely will continue to do so. This can affect those of us who have older air conditioning units as these older refrigerants are either not available or very expensive.
Should I Have My AC Repaired or Get a New AC Unit?
Depending on the age of your air conditioner, we would recommend getting a new ac unit because the cost of repairing an old unit might not be worth it or even possible. We have many different choices and sizes of our new AC units.
